Learn how we're certified for good.
While most certifications are specific to one aspect of a business, like Organic or FairTrade, certifying as a B-Corp measures our entire environmental and social impact. This means unsustainable practices can’t be hidden behind a few good deeds. We’re proud to score highly in all B-Corp categories, reflecting the work we’re doing to benefit people and the planet.
We help hospitals cut carbon emissions by remanufacturing medical devices, which uses significantly less energy and fewer resources than making them brand new. This process also reduces waste, further lowering emissions. Any remaining emissions from our operations (everything we do) are offset by protecting rainforest in the Solomon Islands. Ekos audits our carbon footprint in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
Because we're here to do more than just our fair share, we’re certified climate positive. Our remanufacturing process directly reduces the carbon emissions associated with keeping people healthy, and we then offset 120% of our gross carbon emissions—resulting in a net positive impact on the planet. The upside? When your hospital buys products from Medsalv, your Scope 3 Emissions decrease.
Social Traders world-leading certification verifies over 200 data points, overseen by an expert advisory group to ensure standards are upheld. Certification confirms our purpose of making healthcare more sustainable benefits people and the environment, and that it's not just lipservice: we’re backing it up with our actions and investment, every day.
ISO 13485 is the globally recognised gold standard for medical device quality management, ensuring devices meet both customer needs and strict regulatory requirements.
Medsalv’s certification—achieved through the internationally renowned body SGS—verifies that we’ve established rigorous processes and trained our staff to deliver high-quality products and services consistently. Both our Christchurch (NZ) and Geelong (AU) facilities hold this certification - which covers all aspects of our processes.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia regulates the use of all medical devices in Australia.
